Waste management in new Concorp building

Concorp, producer of the well-known sweets Autodrop, Oldtimers and Schuttelaar, has outsourced the integral waste management to Milgro. In addition to realizing the sustainability objectives and reducing costs, the aim of the collaboration is to organize the waste flows and processes in the new-build location of the confectionery specialist in a sustainable and efficient manner.

The family business with more than 100 years of experience in confectionery will expand and renew its internal production process. “We want to include the right structure for waste management immediately in our new-build plans. By organizing this as optimally as possible from the start, the processes run smoothly and we can optimally facilitate our employees in waste separation. Milgro has a great deal of expertise in this area, which can now be of immediate added value. We came into contact with Milgro through our membership of purchasing consortium Columbus. They immediately came up with good ideas and solutions and that gives confidence. In addition, Milgro's approach ties in seamlessly with our sustainability ambitions, ”says Sikke van der Leest, Purchasing Manager at Concorp.

Alex van Kuilenburg, Consultant Resource Management, adds: “Milgro has extensive experience in the confectionery and confectionery industry. This allows us to seamlessly meet the wishes of Concorp. The fact that we are involved in the new construction plans gives us the opportunity to optimally organize Concorp's waste management from the start. In addition, we are looking for solutions to make waste and breakdown even more transparent. We look forward to a long-term and successful collaboration. ”
