In May 1993 Laurens Groen started Milieu Advies Buro de Afvalwinkel. This predecessor of Milgro quickly grew into a full-fledged consultancy within the market.
Afval Advies Buro Milgro
Less than a year later, the name Milgro was added to the company name. Milgro is a contraction of Milieu Groep. The waste advice bureau Milgro focused on advice in internal waste logistics and recycling.
It soon became apparent that, in addition to the advisory role, clients also like to assign Milgro the directing role. This resulted in the new name: Services Milgro.
From 2004 Milgro focused more on strategic waste management. Making agreements about waste performance indicators such as costs, processing and recycling became the approach.
Milgro's methodology is depicted in the four shapes in the logo. Just like in the well-known recycling logo, the four elements form a circle.

From the Gripmodel there is a new focus on raw material management and waste. For example, these words even appear briefly in the Milgro logo.
The recircle company
The recircle company made the transition from waste as a concern to raw materials as an opportunity. With a clear vision: tackling waste and transforming it towards circularity.
The bee as a symbol
With the bee as a symbol of connection and supplier of ecosystems, Milgro's proposition is clear: we provide technology for managing natural capital.
This technology, together with our proven approach and methodology, enables companies to successfully implement the raw materials transition. The result is profitable sustainability: earn & earth together.
Technology is the basis of our working method and the driving force behind our insight. This technology, together with our methodology and approach, ensures a future-proof waste process. Do you want to know more?
