Milgro winner Oranje Trade Mission Fund

Milgro has been named one of the ten winners of the Oranje Trade Mission Fund (OHMF). During the final event in a hangar at Schiphol, Pieter Elbers (President-Director KLM), Ralph Hamers (CEO ING Group), Michaël van Straalen (Chairman SME Netherlands) and Matthijs van Bonzel (Dutch Ambassador to Spain) presented the prizes to the ten entrepreneurs with the best export plan. The winners have been selected from 600 entries based on the strength of their product or service, their ambition and the motivation to be successful in a particular country.

The winners of the 2016 Oranje Trade Mission Fund will receive a year-long guidance from ING, KLM, MKB-Nederland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to make progress internationally. These partners assist the winning entrepreneurs with their international network, knowledge and experience. Among other things, the winners go on trade mission trips or sit down with important parties. The OHMF thus opens doors that normally remain closed.

Second home market

Laurens Groen van Milgro is proud: “It is fantastic to receive recognition and trust from these renowned organizations. Moreover, winning this prize fits very well with our plans for internationalization. In the Netherlands, we have tied a growing number of multinationals to us in recent years. We also want to be able to serve them internationally. We are also ready to move to a second and third home market. We see many market opportunities in different countries, including the United Kingdom. There, too, we want to contribute to a more sustainable handling of (used) raw materials and the creation of profitable sustainability for entrepreneurs. ”
