Enexis Group is making a step towards sustainability

In order to achieve a more sustainable use of raw materials, Enexis Groep, the independent network company in the north, east and south of the Netherlands, has awarded the waste management to Milgro BV, outsourcing partner and market leader in independent waste and raw materials management.

Enexis Groep is a network company in the energy sector and is keen to set an example in the field of sustainability. The next step in making waste management more sustainable is an important part of this. Every year, 20,000 tons of waste is released at the more than 1,000 locations of Enexis Netbeheer, Enpuls and Fudura, all business units of Enexis Group. “Enexis Group has already taken a significant step in improving waste management in recent years. Now we are ready for an approach of continuous improvement, maximum transparency and use of management by means of big data. In the transition to a sustainable society, we want to take our responsibility and show leadership in the field of sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. Milgro is the right partner for this. With this collaboration we want to increase our insight into material and financial flows and realize improvements in the field of sustainability. We have a lot of confidence in the collaboration ”, says Charlotte Bremer, Waste Manager Enexis Group.

From insight to more sustainability

“We are proud that we have been selected as a partner by Enexis Group after an intensive Best Value Procurement (BVP) selection procedure,” says Paula van Hoorik, Senior Consultant Construction & Industry. “We have been able to demonstrate our added value in this tender method. The result of the collaboration can be expressed in financial performance, improvement of sustainability and innovations in the handling of raw materials. With our digital approach, we first of all ensure conclusive data, insight and transparency. From there we start a continuous cycle of improvement, aimed at optimizing recycling, waste reduction and reuse. As a result, the value of raw materials is retained as much as possible, in line with the ambition of Enexis Group ”.
