A recurring problem in one of our clients’ warehouses was the inefficient handling of cardboard waste at various workstations. Each unit was responsible for its own waste management, which led to excessive internal transport and costly delays.
A Radical Change
To address this, we opted for a radical change: we had a wall knocked down and installed a conveyor belt. This allows multiple units in the warehouse to collect waste via the same conveyor belt. The result? A significant reduction in labor requirements.
Sometimes you have to think outside the box. This change resulted in a lasting 25% reduction in internal waste handling for our client.
From Innovation to Progress
The results in numbers are clear. We’ve achieved a permanent 25% reduction in internal waste handling, leading to significant time and cost savings. A simple change has thus improved efficiency—a perfect example of how innovation leads to progress.
