Milgro is officially B Corp™ certified
Read moreThe legislation surrounding waste and resource management is constantly changing. From environmental permits to European directives: as a company you must demonstrate compliance with increasingly strict regulations. Milgro helps you with this.
Milgro has years of experience in audits and regulations. We support discarders, collectors and processors in audits by being present on-site and/or providing required reports through our dashboard.
With GMP+ we are certified ourselves and can act as gatekeeper. In the context of conversions of organic streams to feed, we conduct annual audits and guarantee feed safety. We are present on-site if necessary, for example in audits by the competent authority (such as DCMR) or in witness audits for certifying bodies. We also have extensive experience in audits according to KORE standards.
We work with more than 500 collectors and processors. Only parties with the correct certifications (such as VIHB or environmental permit with relevant Eural codes) are used. This is guaranteed in our system: only licensed parties can be linked to specific streams.
Working safely is the norm at Milgro. We only work with parties who do their work according to the highest safety, environmental and health requirements. Certificates are actively checked and maintained.
Our services go beyond data. We proactively advise on changing legislation and, if necessary, act as gatekeeper: as, for example, with GMP+. Milgro assesses and selects the right partners and continuously monitors compliance. So you know for sure that you work sustainably, safely and demonstrably well.
ISO9001
Milgro complies with the outline for ISO9001:2015. ISO9001 is an international quality standard in which the requirements to make quality management systems standardized, measurable and verifiable are secured.
Milgro pursues a high level of quality and has therefore set up a quality management system and environmental management system (see ISO14001). The ISO9001 management system is laid down in the ISO9001 quality manual.
ISO14001
Milgro meets the outline for ISO 14001:2015. ISO14001 is the internationally recognized standard for environmental management and the environmental management system. The standard focuses on securing risks and continuously improving processes. This standard provides a guide for achieving sustainability goals and the system for implementing them.
ISO 45001
Milgro has successfully achieved ISO 45001 certification. This international standard focused on healthy and safe working (G&VW) underlines our commitment to a safe and healthy working environment.
With this certification, we build on our existing management systems for quality and environment (ISO 9001) and (ISO 14001). We thereby strengthen our structural approach to reducing occupational risks. This ensures a safer working environment, more job satisfaction and less sick leave.
GMP+FSA
GMP+ FSA stands for Good Manufacturing Practice Feed Safety Assurance and contains, in addition to legal requirements, also supra-statutory requirements agreed upon with chain parties, which are imposed on animal feed. GMP+FSA is the standard for certifying quality systems in the animal feed industry and assures the safety of animal feed.
Because Milgro actively valorizes residual streams at a higher value, including animal feed and thus occupies a position in the food chain, we have a quality system, which is laid down in a GMP+ FSA quality manual.
Information security assurance
Milgro ensures the security and continuity of its IT and network infrastructure by working exclusively with ISO 27001-certified parties. For its own Information Security Management System (ISMS), Milgro uses the principles of the ISO 27001 quality system and the NIS2 guideline.
This allows us to effectively manage and ensure information security without compromising flexibility and efficiency in our services.
VIHB
A VIHB registration is a registration on the list of companies engaged in transporting, collecting, trading and/or brokering industrial waste or hazardous waste in the Netherlands.
ISO standards
Although Milgro is not ISO certified for all processes and activities, we use ISO standards such as LCA Method (ISO14040) and the standards under development around monitoring circular economy and measuring food waste as a blueprint for the further optimization of our services.
Since certification is not the holy grail for us, handholds in the market for careful waste and resource management combined with data management are an important factor. Our ambition to get more value out of the raw materials used in company processes is of great importance in this and the ultimate goal.

OVAM
Milgro now operates in several European countries. Here it happens that we also use certification from across the border, such as the in Belgium important organizations OVAM and VLAREMA. Whoever transports, collects or trades waste is bound by a number of rules, as included in VLAREMA, the Flemish regulation on the sustainable management of material cycles and waste and is registered with OVAM.
