June 15, 2026 We are proud to announce that Milgro has officially obtained NTA 8080 certification. We have also been recertified this year for GMP+, demonstrating that we continue to comply with the quality system and that the associated processes are firmly embedded within our organization.
NTA 8080 forms the basis of the international Better Biomass certification system and is intended for organizations that produce, process, trade, or use biomass for energy, fuels, and bio-based products. With this certification, we offer our customers verifiably sustainable and fully traceable biomass waste streams. The NTA 8080 standard aligns with European sustainability frameworks, such as RED II/III, and supports our customers in CSRD reporting by providing reliable and structured sustainability information.
For Milgro, NTA 8080 certification is of great importance for maintaining access to the market for sustainable biomass waste and residual streams. An increasing number of processors that produce sustainable energy are requiring certified streams to comply with legislation, subsidy programs, and sustainability targets.
With this certification, Milgro underscores its sustainability mission: the maximum and responsible use of raw materials with respect for people, the environment, and society. By choosing Better Biomass, we demonstrate that we go beyond the minimum legal requirements and are consciously committed to future-proof business operations. A Better Biomass certificate is valid for up to five years, with annual assessments to verify continued compliance with the requirements. This ensures the long-term continuity of our quality and sustainability standards.
