2014 a successful year for Milgro

Milgro Group can look back on a successful year and is on track to achieve its strategic objectives in 2015. The growth of the customer portfolio in 2014 led to a record number of tonnes that Milgro has under management for its clients. New clients in the past year include Albert Heijn, TESLA Europe, Pon and FrieslandCampina.

The financial results for 2014 are in line with expectations, says Laurens Groen, CEO Milgro Group. “In recent years, we have continuously invested in the quality of our organization, our services and innovation. The costs precede the benefits. Although the profit for 2014 is modest, the return on the investments made is becoming increasingly visible. This year we will continue to invest in innovation. The further development of our ICT platform for waste and raw materials management is one of the spearheads ”.

Milgro expects continued strong growth in 2015, both in the Netherlands and in Europe. Ruud Hageman, COO: “More and more companies see the importance of gaining full control over their waste flows and want to use raw materials more sustainably. As a result, interest in Milgro continues to increase. The circular economy is also becoming an increasingly topical theme. We can help companies translate their ambitions in that area into concrete implementation and results.
