On Thursday, March 10, 2022, Freek van Eijk, director of Holland Circular Hotspot and Laurens Groen, director of Milgro, signed a partnership agreement. The partnership aims to jointly accelerate the international circular transition.
For Milgro, the agreement offers tools to realize its international ambitions. Milgro offers impactful solutions that make it possible to utilize the potential of natural capital. After all, the optimal management of raw materials leads to a reduction in global waste production. For Holland Circular Hotspot, this agreement means a reinforcement of its network with Dutch circular pioneers. Together, Milgro and Holland Circular Hotspot will develop international activities to intensify the circular approach for the themes 'Cities & Regions' and Agri-food.
The festive signing took place at Milgro's new circular office building in the Loft, on the former RDM site in Rotterdam.
Milgro, who has been active in sustainable waste and raw materials management for 28 years and is a frontrunner in the raw materials transition, has been involved in activities related to accelerating the international circular transition since the very beginning of HCH.
By signing, Milgro joins the group of leading companies and organizations that Holland Circular Hotspot supports: TNO, Closing the Loop, Circle Economy, Priva, Amsterdam Economic Board, Rabobank, Arcadis, Philips, Powered by Meaning, Van Oord, NLinBusiness, BRBS recycling and Clean Tech Delta, but also the ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat, Rijkswaterstaat and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
