On Friday morning, March 4, the Rotterdam City Counsel paid a working visit to Milgro.

During an interactive meeting, Mayor Aboutaleb and the aldermen were extensively included in Milgro's mission, vision and approach. On the basis of various presentations, Laurens Groen and Ruud Hageman gave an extensive 'look behind the scenes' of independent waste and raw materials management on behalf of Milgro. Milgro's proposition of 'profitable sustainability' was made concrete on the basis of a case study. During a tour, the power of 'a different view' was discussed, which is visible and tangible in the unique design of the Milgro office.

The meeting was received positively and with great enthusiasm by the Counsel. Alderman Maarten Struijvenberg (labor and economy): “Innovative entrepreneurship in Rotterdam is on the rise. Milgro is a wonderful example of this. A company that will play an important role in the Rotterdam economy, now and in the future. Mayor, aldermen and myself were impressed by the activities of this company in our city!”

Milgro also looks back on an animated meeting. Laurens Groen, CEO: "Our hometown Rotterdam has the ambition to be at the forefront of the development towards a circular economy. It is fantastic to introduce the Counsel to our organization and the transition approach that we successfully put into practice every day.
